This Privacy Statement describes how BMVN International LLC (“BMVN”) collects, uses, shares, and otherwise process certain personal information obtained through your engagement of our services, through your email communication with us, through your participation in our events, seminars and/or other promotional activities, through your provision of goods and/or services to us, or through our general service contact with you (collectively referred to as "Engagement"). This Privacy Statement does not address information collected through other sources such as an attorney’s personal contacts.

You may have provided your name, company name, e-mail address, phone number, address and such other information associated with your identity or enabling us to determine your identity (collectively referred to as “Personal Information”) in your Engagement with us. We retain and process your Personal Information to enable us to provide our legal services to you, to correspond with you in the course of our business either as a client or as a business contact, to provide you with a subscription to our regular news alerts, newsletters or publications, to notify you about events and to provide relevant event materials, for your information and/or participation in our events, to obtain feedback, or otherwise to respond to your requests or provide you with information that we consider may be of interest to you (collectively referred to as “Purpose”) . Kindly note that it will be necessary for BMVN to process your Personal Information for the Purpose, without which we will not be able to carry out the Purpose.
In certain circumstances, we may process your Personal Information without obtaining your consent. This can occur when the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of health and life, or another lawful basis. BMVN is a strategic alliance with Baker & McKenzie Vietnam (which is a member of Baker McKenzie International), a Swiss Verein, with member law firms around the world. We may share and/or transfer Personal Information among our member law firms/alliances for purposes of responding to your requests or otherwise as necessary for the Purpose described above. Our service providers, which may or may not be located outside Vietnam, may also have access to the Personal Information, for reasons relating to the Purpose. We may also in limited circumstances share Personal Information with government authorities or others as required to protect the interests of BMVN or others, as necessary in connection with the sale or transfer of all or a portion of the business, or as required by applicable law or court order.
Data Retention
We retain your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to comply with legal, regulatory, or reporting requirements. Once your Personal Information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
